Android 12 was announced last May. Now, the features of the Go version designed by Google for cheap phones have been shared.
The Android Go version designed by Google for budget smartphones will also be with us in the new version. The Go version, which needs less hardware power compared to the classic Android version and thus maintains efficiency despite low hardware, will come to phones in 2022 with its 12th version.
According to the company, Android 12 Go Edition aims for up to 30 percent faster speeds for low-cost phones. This value is 20 percent for Android 11 Go Edition, so that more improvements can be achieved with the new version.
Android 12 Go Edition Features
According to Google’s statement, the speed increase in between is based on overhauled animations. On the other hand, the new operating system that puts infrequently used applications into standby mode also contributes to battery life.
In addition to performance improvements, Android 12 Go Edition has also made many privacy improvements. Android 12’s privacy dashboard will be included in Go Edition. Thus, users will be able to review all the permissions that the applications can access and turn off the permissions they do not find appropriate.
With today’s announcement, Google also shared the information that more than 200 million people worldwide use a device with the Android Go Edition operating system.
