While Android 13, which has been officially announced recently, is expected with great excitement, phone manufacturers continue to distribute the Android 12 update without slowing down.
All popular brands, especially OPPO, Samsung, Xiaomi, brought Android 12 to their models. ASUS joined these companies with the Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip devices, which it launched in May 2021. Now, there is good news for Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro owners.
Android 12 good news for ASUS Zenfone 7
As it is known, Android manufacturers do not release software updates in all countries at the same time, like Apple. In this context, ASUS has gradually introduced the Android 12 update for Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro models. Therefore, you may have to wait for a while for it to come to you.
You can check if Android 12 has reached you by going to System updates in Settings > System. By the way, don’t forget before updating. In fact, all user data is preserved without deletion while the phone is upgraded to a new version. However, it is good to consider all possibilities.
What’s new with Android 12 released for Zenfone 7:
- Mobile Manager, Contacts, Phone, File Manager, Calculator, Clock, Gallery , Weather, Sound recorder, Settings, Data Transfer, Local backup, Setup wizard and System update applications have been renewed.
- Quick Settings panel, notification tray and sound panel adapted to Android 12 design.
- Privacy clipboard, camera and microphone indicators, showing clipboard access, approximate location access, and microphone access features added.
- ASUS Safeguard replaced with stock Emergency SOS.
- New widget page design in Launcher. The location of the screenshot option has been adjusted.
- Removed “Quick Settings layout” option in display settings.
- Removed SIP calling support from ASUS Phone.
- System charging animation added.
- WiFi and mobile network options have been merged into Internet settings.
