According to the latest report in The New York Times, SpaceX fired nine employees who made negative comments about Elon Musk’s behavior on Twitter. Employees, who said that Musk’s statements on Twitter hurt the company, said that they received retaliation from the management.
In a letter sent to company management by SpaceX employees in June, concerns were expressed about Elon Musk’s behavior. Former SpaceX engineers, who said five people were laid off in the summer after this letter, claimed that nine people were fired.
“Elon Musk’s behavior in public space has become a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment for us, especially in recent weeks,” the staff wrote in the letter, which was leaked online in June.
This accusation against Elon Musk is not unjustified. The billionaire, who bought Twitter, announced that he had fired a senior Twitter engineer who was critical of himself and had different views, tweeting that he was fired.
SpaceX employees claimed the dismissal was illegal because of a letter criticizing Musk. Nevertheless, it should be noted that Elon Musk remained silent in the face of all these allegations.
