An iPhone that Apple will never make: Introducing iPhone Vision

Apple's unchanging design line can become a subject of complaints from time to time. That's why independent designers can come up with designs that look much more creative and beautiful than Apple. The iPhone Vision concept of the designer named Antonio De Rosa is also quite eye-catching.

If there’s one thing we’ve heard over and over in the 15 years since Apple introduced the iPhone, it’s that the device is often boring when it comes to design. Apple repeats the same design for at least three years, making minor changes between major refreshes. However, this is definitely not a problem, especially these days… Because all smartphones look alike. They have large screens with punch-hole cameras at the front and a large ledge at the back that houses the advanced camera components. Similarly, the iPhone 15 will also be a replica of the iPhone 14, as there are no major design updates planned for this year.

However, at this point, independent designers do not hesitate to share their dreams with people. Apple will never produce an iPhone as exciting as these concepts, but the devices the designers envision are pretty interesting. Antonio De Rosa’s iPhone Vision concept in these images takes existing iPhone design to a whole new level.

iPhone Vision is inspired by the Vision Pro that Apple introduced a few weeks ago. More exciting is the Liquid Lens camera on the back, which replaces the primary and ultra-wide-angle lenses. The concept includes a secondary periscope lens for better zooming. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, meanwhile, will present the iPhone’s first periscope lens.

There are two more unique design elements on the back. The second screen provides quick access to notifications while the phone is lying face down on a table. This is a useful feature if you usually hold the phone that way.

iPhone Vision has its own camera bump. However, the designer has placed a second overhang at the rear to offset the first. This also allows you to lay the iPhone flat on the back. The second protrusion acts as a speaker supporting Space Audio.

The designer also envisioned a price tag for the iPhone Vision; The phone starts at $1,599.
