A villa with a very interesting design began to be built on the north coast of Egypt. Carrying the signature of the Spanish architect Fran Silvestre, who wanted to create a unique design, this building almost resembles a modern sphinx.
Sculptures with sphinx, human, bird-like heads, and lion-like reclining bodies found in ancient Egypt are called statues. Here, this seaside villa of Silvestre takes the geometric form of the sphinx.
The construction of the house, whose upper floor is 15 meters above the ground, will be completed in 2024
This interesting building consists of two floors. The height of the upper floor, which can be seen to be at a very high level, is said to be about 15 meters. It will be possible to reach this floor by an elevator.
There will be 2 master bedrooms in the house, which will consist of a total of three levels when the basement is included. Apart from that, two kitchens, many living rooms, a spa will also be found in the house. Let’s add that the house was designed with a giant pool and garden despite being on the beach. Large window walls will also make the house more spacious, while allowing it to be lived together with the surrounding landscapes.
Viewed from the side, the house appears to be supported by a rather thin concrete. But in reality, the jib looks like a crane. Silvestre emphasizes that it should be thought of as one large piece, while adding that the vertical portion allows the length of the underside to act as a balancing counterweight. In this way, he says, the weight of the upper side is supported.
An ostentatious building just like a sphinx, this villa is one of the best examples of modern construction technologies and minimalist architecture. Although simple, it has a fascinating appearance with its complex and interesting design. Finally, let’s add that the construction of the house is planned to be completed in 2024.
