Apple’s voice assistant Siri has lost the ‘rating’ function that can be performed by voice command. This feature allows tracks in the Apple Music app to be rated 1 to 5 stars. In addition, the songs you rate are instantly saved to your library. Thus, you can easily find your music by filtering the library according to the score you give.
While listening to music on iPhone and iPad, Siri could be commanded as “Hey Siri, rate this song 5 [or any number you want]”. Then the assistant did it without any problems. However, according to user feedback, this ability of Siri no longer works.
Siri can’t rate music on iOS 15 and later
Feedback shared on Reddit and Apple Support forums indicates that the functionality is not available in iOS 15, iOS 15. 1, and iOS 15.2. Instead of fulfilling the request, Siri prompts the user with “Sorry, I’m afraid I can’t fulfill this request. He refuses with an answer like ”. However, songs in the Apple Music library can be rated manually.
The feature to rate songs with Siri in the Apple Music app was first introduced in iOS 8.
