In a news published by Bloomberg recently, it was stated that the next Call of Duty game will be postponed, that is, the year 2023 will be empty. It was stated that the company wants to make the game much more exciting and is considering postponing it to enrich it with new content.
One of the main reasons for this delay claim was that the company would be acquired by Microsoft for approximately $70 million next year. Not releasing any Call Of Duty games in 2023 means breaking a tradition that has been going on for years.
Activision: The new Call of Duty game will not be delayed!
However, the response to this claim was not delayed and an official statement came from the Activision front;
“We have plans for exciting, exclusive and free-to-play Call of Duty games this year, next year and beyond. The news on the subject in the press and claiming otherwise are unfounded. We look forward to sharing more details of our plans along the way.”
If the claim were true, the Call of Duty series, which has been coming up with a new game every year since 2005, would have passed without a game for the first time in a year. With the statement made, it was confirmed that this almost 20-year-old tradition will not be broken.
