An era ends on Twitter: Blocking becomes a thing of the past

Blocking, or in other words, account blocking, which is one of the most used features of the Twitter application to date, is a thing of the past. Elon Musk is about to remove another feature that he finds meaningless.

No more blocking

In a statement, Elon Musk stated that he finds the blocking feature of the X application meaningless and will remove it soon. In particular, the way to get rid of accounts that spammed or used offensive language was through blocking. The blocked user could not follow or interact with the relevant account.

In the new era, users will only have to turn to the mute option. This feature, on the other hand, is content to store the posts of the followed user. On the other hand, for private messages, the blocking feature will remain in use.
