Less than two years ago, Spotify added “Car View” support, which includes a simplified user interface while driving, to its mobile app for Android and iOS platforms. This mode simplifies the use of Spotify and thus provides convenience to those who use the vehicle during the journey. But now Spotify is pulling the plug on this app.
While this move of Spotify was confusing, the company also announced the issue officially on its own website:
“We can confirm that we are deprecating Car View. However, this does not mean that we are not working to provide a better Spotify experience for our users while they drive. On the contrary, we are currently exploring new ways to deliver the best in-car listening experience. Think of it as a possible thing to do.”
