World of Warcraft, which became the most important representative of the MMORPG wind in the early 2000s and is considered the game with the most online players, is now far from its old days. Games like Minecraft, PUBG, have equaled the 100 million active player record today. Still, WoW is trying radical changes.

WoW closes an era

Since its inception, World of Warcraft has been based on the Horde and Alliance races playing in completely different worlds. All missions and dungeons would be the same for both races but set in different worlds. When the two races faced each other, a PvP environment was created.

World of Warcraft makers are making a radical change with the new update. Horde and Alliance players will be able to take part in dungeons, raids and PvP matches together with the 9.2.5 update.

This union will take place at certain events. For now, the old system is used in dungeons such as Battle of Dazar’alor and Trial of the Crusader. The WoW team has yet to make progress on some obstacles. In addition, the group leader can restrict the participation of the opposing race. It is a matter of curiosity whether WoW, which has close to 5 million active players, will be able to make a debut with this change.
