A 286-megapixel image captured by an astrophotographer allows us to observe the Sun’s peak activity for decades. The photo shows huge fireballs spinning on the Sun’s surface, and it’s possible to get close to these fireballs to view their details.

Andrew McCarthy obtained these photos using his telescope. The photograph consists of approximately 50 parts and each part contains around 600 layered images.

The photographer stated that he has been watching the Sun continuously for three years and has never seen it this active before. The sun enters a period of high activity every 11 years. The final period started in 2019 and is expected to peak in 2025.
