Before the Barbie movie was released, it was quite popular to use hand-painted sets instead of visual effects in the movie. There were even rumors that pink dye stocks were running out worldwide.

British artist Stuart Semple, on the other hand, introduced the ‘most Barbie pink’ paint, also known as ‘Pinkie’, available for purchase, with Barbie’s public premiere on Friday, July 21.

The British artist not only protested the company with the color he created, but also stipulated to the buyers.

The land of Barbie in the movie uses 100 shades of pink, but none more important than Mattel’s signature color, ‘Barbie Pink’. Stuart Semple’s target was exactly this color.

With Barbie’s premiere Friday, July 21, Stuart Sample introduced its pink paint, featuring high-quality acrylic resins blended with optical brighteners and new fluorescent pigments, and billed directly to Mattel’s registered trademark.

The resulting Pinkie color was ‘the most Barbie pink’. Moreover, anyone wishing to purchase this paint has to verify that it is not an employee of Mattel or in any way affiliated with the manufacturer of Barbie.
