Google advertised that before the Pixel 6 Pro was launched, it was about 50 percent charged in half an hour. After a review, the researchers concluded that the device charges 48 percent in the current time. Still, it was strange that the 5,000 mAh battery of the smartphone was fully charged in 2 hours with a 30W charger.
Android Authority examined the Pixel 6 Pro model in the laboratory. In this context, he reached a conclusion about the charging cycle. It recorded the actual current and determined at which points the charge was moving to lower currents. This is a normal action for every phone that is charging. However, the test reveals more about the actual charging speeds of the smartphone.
Pixel 6 Pro charges with a maximum of 22W
The reviewers determined that the maximum power drawn from the charger of the Pixel 6 and Pro models is 22W. It draws an average of 13W of current throughout a cycle. Testing took place not only with a 30W charger, but also with several USB-C Power Delivery PPS adapters.

At this point, it takes half an hour to charge half of the battery, while it takes less than an hour and a half to charge the rest. Android Authority stated that the Pixel 6 Pro takes about an hour to fill up to 15 percent of the battery.
Seems to be a conservative approach to charging by Google. Because this makes the phone less prone to overheating around 25C.
