According to the information obtained from the website of Chips and Cheese, AMD’s new technology has greatly increased the cache of the processor compared to previous models. While other processors of the Milan family have 256 MB of cache, it is stated that the processor with 3D V-Cache has 768 MB of cache. In addition, it is said that no ‘lag’ was observed in the processor despite the increase in L3 cache.
On the other hand, some critics negatively evaluated the lack of a big difference in the speed and power of the processor while experiencing such an increase in cache. AMD’s current 3D chip technology is achieved by taking a single V-Cache chip and integrating it into a processor’s already existing cache.
