The latest market share statistics come from Mercury Research. The ongoing global chip shortage is impacting AMD’s and Intel’s respective successes, and other processor segments where companies fall short. For example, AMD chips are used in the Xbox Series X and other game consoles, and therefore processors are reserved to meet the demand of these systems compared to other types of devices.
