Zen architecture, which AMD has been taking back its share step by step in the processor market, which it has been behind for a long time, appears more advanced every year. While Zen 4 architecture is expected this year, Zen 5 architecture will be on the market in 2024.
What does AMD Zen 4 offer?
The first information about Ryzen 7000 processors was shared at the Computex 2022 fair. There is data in the form of 5nm Zen 4 architecture, scaling up to 16 cores, 15 percent performance increase in a single core, 125 percent increase in memory bandwidth, for the first time in the form of internal Radeon graphics unit.
What are the Zen 4 features?
There will be models with 3D cache again in this series. Ryzen 7000 3D processors are expected to be released in 2023. In this period, the 4nm Zen 4C architecture will also be on the agenda. Zen 4C appeals to more efficient and cloud-oriented servers on the operational side.
Zen 4 EPYC processors can be scaled up to 96 cores, and Zen 4C EPYC processors can be scaled up to 128 cores. The Ryzen 7000 APU series with Zen 4 cores and RDNA 3 graphics will also arrive in 2023.
Next comes the Zen 5 architecture. Zen 5 architecture, which will use the 3nm/4nm process, will have different versions such as Zen 5 3D and Zen 5C, as in the previous generation. It is stated that Zen 5 architecture will be presented to the servers first and then to the end user in 2024.
