The flagship model of the Ryzen 7000 3D V-Cache series, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, is expected to be released next week. So what will AMD’s 16-core and 32-thread top model offer against its rival Intel Core i9-13900K? Here are the details

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X rivals Intel i9-13700K

According to AMD’s statements and recent leaks, the AMD Ryzen 7950X3D will meet us with a maximum clock speed of 5.7GHz, a configuration with 16 cores and 32 threads. It will also have a lower 120W TDP and 64MB higher 144MB cache (16MB L2, 128MB L3) compared to the base model 7950X.

Recently shared leaks revealed the first information about what the Ryzen 9 7950X3D will offer. At this point, we saw that the flagship model lags behind the Intel i9-13900K. However, a new leak on Geekbench 5 tests points to very different results.

Looking at the shared images, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D scores 2271 in the single-core tests of the Geekbench 5 platform and 24,727 in the multi-core tests. It should be noted that its rival, the Intel i9-13900K, scored 2214 and 25,234 in similar tests. Based on this, we can say that the 7950X3D is ahead in single-core performance and approaches its rival in multi-core performance. Also, considering that the Intel Core i9-13900K has 24 cores, AMD’s success should be appreciated.
