Announcing the 3D V-Cache Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors in the past weeks, AMD has turned its focus to the “Phoenix” series APUs with Zen 4 architecture. In this context, while the excited wait continues, we continue to hear leaks about new solutions. Now with Zen 4 architecture ” Phoenix” series release date has been leaked.

AMD Ryzen 7040 Phoenix APUs arriving at the end of April

Introduced by AMD last January, AMD Phoenix APUs will combine Zen4 and RDNA3 architecture for mobile platforms. At this point, new solutions that will be the successor of the Zen3+ Rembrandt Ryzen 6000 series will appear on devices such as laptops and handheld consoles.

For those who don’t know, the first laptops with AMD Ryzen 7040 “Phoenix” APUs were expected to be released in March 2023. However, despite many leaks, this did not happen. Now, sources close to the industry say the new APU family will be showcased starting April 30. If this information is confirmed, we can say that new solutions will meet with users approximately 4 months after the launch.

As of now, we know nine Phoenix processors are on the way, including the H, HS and U series models. Interestingly, however, AMD has yet to confirm the low-power “U” Phoenix series. Although the APUs in question differ from each other according to TDP and clock speeds, the basic core count and integrated RDNA3 GPU features will be similar.
