READING NOW AMD Ryzen 7020 series has joined the game from behind!

AMD introduced its new Ryzen 7000 series processors at the event it held at the end of last month. Today, the mobile versions of these chips, the Ryzen 7020 series, have emerged. But with the desktop versions that will be released on September 27, they are far from being a sister processor.

What do the Ryzen 7020 series processors promise?

The Ryzen 7020 series mobile processors that AMD introduced today are quite different from the ones that will go on sale in the coming days. Because AMD uses the Zen 2 architecture, which we see in the Ryzen 3000 series desktop processors, instead of the new Zen 4 architecture in these chips.

Of course, there is a special reason for this situation. The company is focused on battery life and power consumption rather than the performance of these processors. Because even the most powerful of the introduced models can reach a maximum TDP of 15 watts. This includes the consumption of the Radeon 610M GPU unit that comes with them.

When we look at the features of the new processors, we see that the Ryzen 5 7520U and Ryzen 3 7320U have 4 cores, 8 threads and 6 MB cache. The Athlon Gold 7220U has 2 cores and 4 threads and 5 MB cache.

All processors have Radeon 610M as internal graphics unit. The highest operating clock frequencies are 4.3 GHz and 4.1 GHz for Ryzen 5 7520U and Ryzen 3 7320U, respectively. The base clock frequencies are 2.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz. The Athlon Gold 7220U has a 2.4 GHz base and 3.7 GHz boost speed. Finally, all processors have TDP values between 8W-15W.
