Announcing the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D processors last January, AMD is preparing to expand its 3D V-Cache product range. In this regard, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D may soon have a smaller sibling. The Ryzen 5 5600X3D has appeared on AMD’s roadmap.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D appears on the horizon

According to shared reports, a 6-core Ryzen AM4 processor with product code “100-00001176” was discovered on AMD’s roadmap. More importantly, it is stated that this processor will be released under the name of 3D V-Cache. In this direction, we can say that the configuration in question points to the Ryzen 5 5600X3D model.

According to the shared report, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D will showcase 1MB less L2 cache, 6 cores and 12 threads than the 5800X3D (3MB). However, the L3 cache with 3D V-Cache will remain the same size as the 5800X3D (96MB). It is also stated that the Ryzen 5 5600X3D will offer a base clock speed of 3.3 GHz and an increased clock speed of 4.4 GHz. For a small comparison, let me remind you that the speeds in question are 100MHz lower than the 5800X3D.

As you know, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, one of the flagship processors of the Zen 3 architecture, managed to receive positive comments from users with both its affordable price and performance. Today, the processor, which has dropped to a price of $ 289, is one of the most powerful options on the AM4 platform for gamers with limited budgets.

Therefore, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D can achieve significant success if it enters the market with an aggressive pricing. However, let’s say that we have to wait a little longer to see this. It looks like AMD will continue to offer support for the AM4 platform.
