Old products that are not used today can reappear as various accessories. Now there is another interesting example of this. It was discovered on one of the second-hand platforms in China that old graphics cards were sold as keychains. Among the products offered for sale are cards such as the RX580 and GeForce 9500 GT.

When we look at the PCB of the keychain, we see that the GPU and two memory modules are located. But both memory and GPU are not working. In addition, let us remind you that only 3 of this product, which is sold for 5 dollars, are produced and one is left in stock. On the other hand, the seller in question says that more models will be showcased in the future.

For those who don’t know, the RX 580, released in 2017, uses the 14nm Polaris 20 GPU core with 5.7 billion transistors. Featuring 2304 stream processors, 144 texture units and 32 ROPs, the GPU is accompanied by 256-bit GDDR5 memory.

The vendor did not share any information on where the GPUs were sourced. But we do know that hundreds of cards are scrapped today. As a matter of fact, it is not possible to change the GPU after a point. In addition, many existing games now require VRAM capacities of 6GB and above. At this point, AMD Polaris GPUs with 4GB of VRAM started to be shelved slowly. In light of the new news, we may see more PC hardware come to life again in the future.
