Information continues to come from AMD’s upcoming RDNA 3-based Radeon RX 7000 series. The images that have emerged recently give us important information about the top model Radeon RX 7900. The images clearly show the design of the board, while also showing the power connection configuration.

First of all, it should be noted that this leaked product is not the last product to reach the user. Because the red circuit design, the lack of the back shield plate of the PCB and the voltage contacts in some places confirm that this board is a prototype or test product. On the other hand, the design of the card and the heatsink are in line with what AMD showed at the Ryzen 7000 event held at the end of August.

We also see the Radeon RX 6900 in the image shared by @9550pro on Twitter. It looks like the Radeon RX 7900 will have a slightly taller design than its predecessor.
On the other hand, we see that the dual 8-pin power connectors that we see on RDNA 2 based cards are preserved. There doesn’t seem to be room for additional power connectors in the heatsink, so this could be on the Radeon RX 7900 XT or the flagship RX 7900 XTX. These cards will likely feature the same three-fan design.

When will the Radeon RX 7000 be released?

According to a recent leak, only the RX 7900 XT and the new 7900 XTX graphics cards will feature the Navi31 GPU. It’s notable because it’s been over 16 years since we last saw an ‘XTX’ branded GPU. The RX 7900 XT is said to come with 20GB of memory compared to its XTX counterpart with 24GB of memory.

AMD will officially unveil the new graphics cards on Thursday (November 3) and will detail the new RDNA 3 architecture. The company will also launch new graphics cards, which will likely be the RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX, in December.
