Having recently introduced RDNA 3-based desktop graphics cards to users, AMD has turned its focus to mobile GPUs. In this context, Radeon RX7600S, RX7700S, RX7600M and RX7600M XT, which were introduced about four months ago, are expected to be released soon. For those who don’t know, the AMD RX7600S will come with a 128-bit memory bus, 8GB of VRAM, 28 Compute Units, a 1792 Shader Processor and a Navi 33 GPU limited to X8 PCIe Gen4. We can say that the new shared report brings the RX7600S and RTX 4060 Max Q version against each other. However, the RTX 4060 test system comes with a TGP of 140W, compared to 83 to 88W on the RX 7600S. Also, interestingly, both cards are clocked higher than 2.4 GHz: 2612 MHz for RTX and 2446 MHz for RX.
As for the 3DMark tests, with a TDP of 70W, both GPUs offer similar performance without ray tracing. However, it should be noted that when this power level is exceeded, the results change. RX7600S, which falls behind its rival by 6 to 13 percent in 80W TDP, offers half the performance in the ray tracing test.In light of the shared information, we can say that both GPUs will compete in low-power laptop solutions. However, when it comes to ray tracing, it should not be forgotten that the difference in performance widens to a large extent. At this point, ComputerBase states that the preferred 8GB VRAM capacity for the RX7600S is a big bottleneck.
