AMD has had a tough time since Intel released its 12th generation desktop processors. Alder Lake series, which has achieved a better output than expected, is currently performing strongly in the processor market. While Intel is enjoying the market, it is not possible for AMD to turn a blind eye to it. Rumor has it that the company will delay its plans and block Alder Lake with new processors.

AMD will send support before Zen 4

Since Intel released its processors with Alder Lake architecture, there is no exact equivalent on the AMD side. Although the entry-level options can compete with Intel, when we look at the upper class, AMD lags behind in terms of performance per watt. According to the report of the Team Red group, Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 5 5500 processors will be released as a workaround before the Zen 4 architecture.

AMD new processors

Ryzen 7 5700X will likely contain 8 cores and 16 threads. This means that this processor will compete with the i5-12600 or i5-12600K on the Intel side. In addition to this processor, expectations are high for the Ryzen 5 5600. It will likely have 6 cores and 12 threads, thus competing with the Intel Core i5-12400.

These processors will be the last generation to work with AM4. AMD has supported this platform for many years. Although we see that the socket structure changes very often on the Intel side, AMD has managed to use the same socket for years, admirably. But the situation will not be the same from now on, when you want to buy a processor with Zen 4 architecture, you will have to buy a new motherboard.
