AMD enters recession
It was inevitable that the decline in the computer market, in particular, would affect the chip industry. The decrease of around 40 percent in the last quarter also affected AMD’s revenue expectations. The firm expects a lower income.
In the report, the revenue expectation for the third quarter of the year, which was 6.7 billion dollars, was withdrawn to 5.6 billion dollars. In other words, annual growth remained at 29 percent. It is stated that the personal computer segment will experience the biggest decline. The data center segment, on the other hand, managed to maintain its balance with high sales.
AMD’s shares, which made a loss of around $160 million due to the management of stockpiles, dropped 3 percent this week and 55 percent throughout the year. The company will announce its detailed reports in the coming days.
