AMD Ryzen 8040 series and Ryzen AI artificial intelligence integration!

One of the highlights of the Ryzen 8040 Series processors is the integrated Ryzen AI Neural Processing Unit (NPU), available on select models. This feature offers 1.6 times more AI processing performance than previous AMD models, providing users with premium experiences and AI-powered capabilities.

AMD is making Ryzen AI Software widely available to complement its hardware advancements. This software empowers users to easily create and deploy machine learning models on their AI-powered computers, enhancing the overall AI experience.

Ryzen 8040 Series processors are the most powerful series AMD has ever released. In particular, the Ryzen 9 8945HS processor demonstrates impressive performance, offering 64 percent faster video editing, 37 percent faster 3D rendering and 77 percent faster gaming experience compared to its competitors.

These new processors are specifically optimized for the Windows 11 ecosystem and offer full support for security features. In some systems, Ryzen 8040 Series processors come with Window Studio Effects Pack, offering users the opportunity to increase their privacy with features such as background blur, eye track tracking and noise cancellation.

Ryzen 8040 Series processors not only deliver outstanding performance but also focus on power efficiency. These processors, which offer users the opportunity to enjoy impressive virtual experiences, games and streaming services with advanced LPDDR5 memory support, also support artificial intelligence use cases by maintaining power efficiency.

Setting a new standard in mobile computing, Ryzen 8040 Series processors address the diverse needs of users by offering fast and power-efficient computing solutions for professionals, game enthusiasts and content creators.

AMD is moving into a new phase by introducing Ryzen AI software, allowing developers to build machine learning models trained on frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow and run those models on select laptops powered by Ryzen AI.

Version 1.0 of the Ryzen AI software enables ONNX Runtime applications while also introducing a collection of preloaded models on Hugging Face. This provides a starting point that allows users to initialize their AI models.

Additionally, laptops with Ryzen AI can offload AI models to the NPU, thereby freeing up the CPU, reducing power consumption and extending battery life. As part of the Ryzen AI software, developers have the benefit of being able to create AI applications with advanced gesture recognition, biometric authentication, and other accessibility features using Ryzen AI.

It also provides developers with early access support for OPT and Llama-2 such as Whisper and Large Language Models (LLM) such as Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models. This way, they can create natural language conversational interfaces in their applications and turn on other Natural Language Processing features such as document summarization, email assistance, and more.

It also announced the Pervasive AI Developers Contest, which challenges developers to create innovative AI applications for use in data centers, workstations and laptops, gaming, robotics and more.
