AMD also announced FSR 3 along with RDNA 3 graphics cards. However, almost 10 months have passed since the first cards and the players’ wait for FSR 3 continues. More precisely, we can say that this wait is now over. Because as of Friday, today, FSR 3 is coming to Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum with an update.

The wait for FSR 3 is over

Months ago, AMD promised gamers to expect up to a 2x performance increase over FSR 2, and we later learned that the company would use frame interpolation, similar to DLSS 3 technology, to achieve this huge performance increase. While the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT were introduced in the past weeks, we also saw that FSR 3 fulfills these claims in the demos.

Now the period of testing these claims in real games begins. During the Gaming Festival 2023 event at Gamescom, the company announced that the first games to support FSR 3 will be Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum, and now, AMD chief game architect Frank Azor said in a statement yesterday that the countdown for these two games is over.

However, these two productions are just the beginning for FSR 33. It was also announced that the technology will come to the following productions in the coming periods:

  • Avatar Frontiers of Pandora
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Warhammer 40K: Space Marine II
  • Frostpunk 2
  • ADERS
  • SQUAD
  • Starship Troopers Destruction
  • Black Myth WUKONG
  • Crimson Desert
  • Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth

AMD also confirmed that FSR 3 will be available as an add-on for Unreal Engine 5, further increasing its adoption rate among the gaming community. The best part about FSR 3 is that it is compatible with all manufacturers’ cards (Nvidia and Intel), including AMD’s own graphics cards. The technology will also be compatible with consoles. FSR 3 supports a wide range of devices, including the Radeon RX 5700 and RTX 20 series.
