For those who don’t know, AFMF provides frame interpolation, that is, creating a new frame, by looking at the images of previous frames. We can give an example of this: Frame Generation technology integrated into DLSS 3.0.
Today, the red team made an exciting post on its official Twitter account. “We’ve listened to your feedback and are excited to bring Fluid Motion Frames technology to the RX6000 series with the Adrenalin Edition Preview Driver, the latest update from AMD Software,” the announcement said.
AFMF is now accessible on both desktop and mobile RX6000 graphics cards with the new driver labeled 23.30. Additionally, since it is integrated into the drivers, game developers do not need to provide special support. Therefore, you can enable AFMF via HYPR-RX in the driver settings.
When we look at AFMF supported games, we see that the list is quite wide. So much so that these include many AAA productions such as Starfield, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Last of Us Part 1. Moreover, we should point out that these games do not currently have FSR 3.0 support.
