AMD recently introduced its Ryzen 7000 series new generation processors. It is said that RDNA 2 GPU units are used in these chips, which are launched as the most advanced in the world. But as expected, a new alternative to APUs did not come.
Subsequent leaks about the AMD Ryzen 3 7420U APU confirmed that we will see the expected RDNA 2 graphics here. Therefore, it will be possible to play games by purchasing a processor with new generation technologies without opening the mouth of the bag too much.
Of course, it is expected to appear not only in computer cases, but also in Chromebook models. Also, there won’t be only 7420Us in this APU family. We will see 2 different processors named Athlon Gold 7220U and Athlon Silver 7020U.
But for now, the leaks are on the Ryzen 3 7420U. This APU is expected to be 4-core and 8-thread. All 4 of these cores will be produced with the Zen 2 architecture, which was introduced in 2019. On the GPU side, RDNA 2 will appear.
But there is a common concern about the processor and graphics cards AMD and NVIDIA introduced this year. He also believes that it will outperform its predecessors and competitors. Because the predecessor of this APU, Ryzen 3 5400U, used the Zen 3 architecture.
Although there is a similarity due to its 4-core design on the CPU side, we can say that they are not that close to each other because it comes with Vega graphics on the GPU side. Of course, we will be able to make a performance comparison clearly only when it is released.
