At a time when technology giants are slowly starting to regress, AMD still manages to announce record quarter revenues. The firm has been generating record revenues for seven consecutive quarters, but the same may not be said for the rest of the year.

AMD broke the record again

According to the statement made by the company, in the second quarter of the year, 6.55 billion dollars revenue was obtained and 70 percent growth was achieved. Operating profit was $1.9 billion, with 115 percent growth. Net profit rose 119 percent to $1.7 billion.

Although record increases are experienced, the figures are based on uncertain data. After taxes and other adjustments, AMD is interestingly losing profits, down 37 percent from the previous year.

While the data center generated 1.5 billion dollars in this period, it increased by 83 percent on a yearly basis. While the end-user segment rose 25 percent with $2.2 billion, Ryzen sales were effective in this period. The gaming segment showed success, especially on the console side, with a revenue of 1.7 billion dollars.

In the current period, the company expects to follow a straight line in direct proportion to the forecasts that there will be a stagnation in AMD chip sales. With Zen 4 and RDNA 3, there may be a movement towards the end of the year.
