AMD Instinct MI300X is the new king
The AMD Instinct MI300 accelerator is available in two versions. While AMD Instinct MI300X focuses only on graphics acceleration, AMD Instinct MI300A draws attention with its integration of x86 processor and graphics unit for the first time.
The AMD Instinct MI300X accelerator has up to 304 graphics clusters on 8 chipsets and reaches 24576 cores. The accelerator has 192GB of HBM3 memory. The accelerator component with 153 billion transistors reaches 896GB/s bandwidth, while the memory bandwidth is 5.2TB/s.
AMD also announced a new solution called AMD Instinct Platform. This solution can use up to 8 AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators, providing a total of 1.5TB of HBM3 memory.
The AMD Instinct MI300A accelerator has up to 24 Zen 4 cores and can be scaled up to 228 graphics clusters on 6 chipsets. This system includes 128GB of HBM3 memory. The AMD Instinct MI300 series is 8x better in AI performance and 5x better in performance per watt than the previous generation. The AMD Instinct MI300A accelerator has started sampling. The AMD Instinct MI300X accelerator will be sampled later in the year.
