With the Ryzen architecture, AMD succeeded in taking the competition in the processor market to the next level. Continuing to work on the Zen 4 architecture, AMD shared the features of the Ryzen 7000 series on its website.
AMD Ryzen 7000 desktop processors will support PCIe Gen 5
The Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X and Ryzen 5 7600X models are listed on AMD’s official website. Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors will come up with the AM5 platform, which supports next-generation technologies such as PCIe Gen 5.0 and DDR5.
The Ryzen 9 7950X processor will be introduced with 16 cores and 32 threads. It is estimated that the processor produced with 5nm technology can reach a maximum clock speed of 5.5GHz. The flagship processor will be offered to users with 80 MB (64+16) cache.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X processor will have 12 cores and 24 threads. The model, whose maximum clock speed is 5.4GHz, will be introduced with 76 MB (64+12) cache.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X is estimated to be the most preferred model by the end user. The model, which comes with 8 cores and 16 threads, will be able to reach a clock speed of 5.3GHz. Ryzen 7 7800X, which is stated to be introduced with 40 MB (32+8) cache, will consume between 65W and 125W.
According to the leaked information, AMD will introduce the new processor family at the launch on September 15. The processors are estimated to be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.
