Amazon, one of the world’s largest e-commerce platforms, is preparing to add a new dimension to the online shopping world. According to the official statement, Amazon will sell cars for the first time in its history. The application, which will consist of Hyundai branded vehicles in the first phase, is expected to cover more brands in the future.
In fact, Amazon has been in the automobile industry for a while. In some countries, users could compare cars and get price information on Amazon. Now its scope will be expanded. Several of Hyundai’s dealerships will upload their vehicles to Amazon. Users will review these tools and complete the purchase using a payment method of their choice.
The purchased car will be delivered to the given address.
The application, which will be available as of next year, will work on a very simple logic. The user will receive the Hyundai car he purchased at his doorstep as if he were purchasing anything online. The vehicle will be delivered to the specified address by tow truck. Customers who do not want to deal with this will also be offered the option of delivery from the nearest dealer.
It is also worth noting that; Amazon will be the sole intermediary for vehicle sales. In other words, the company will not sell the cars purchased under its own name to customers. The seller will be a direct car dealer. The user will also be able to purchase accessories and extra parts for the car he/she has purchased through Amazon. It is a matter of curiosity when the system, which will be implemented in the USA in the first phase, will be opened to other countries…
