Amazon launches 3236 micro-satellites into Earth orbit

Amazon, which has initiatives in many fields, pressed the button to establish a space-based internet and provide network access services from space. The company, which wants to rival the Starlink project of Elon Musk, one of the first names that comes to mind in this field, sends 3236 micro-satellites to low Earth orbit.

The project, called Project Kuiper, is launching today. It has secured big-budget deals with major companies to launch Amazon’s Kuiper satellites. These companies include companies such as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, United Launch Alliance, and Europe’s Arianespace. On the other hand, this agreement goes down in history as the largest rocket agreement in the history of the commercial aviation industry.

Actually, Amazon first introduced “Project Kuiper” in 2019. According to important names, this project came out as a reaction to SpaceX’s Starlink project, of which Elon Musk is the CEO. On the other hand, this is not the only project that Amazon wants to rival Musk.

Supporting emerging technologies, Amazon has announced that it will invest $1 billion in companies in the logistics, order fulfillment and supply chain sectors for humanoid robot technology. Earlier, Elon Musk also stated that he made big investments in this field and that he cares a lot.
