Apple, which has come to the fore from time to time with the problems it has with its employees, like every company, has been accused of a striking allegation today. An Apple employee announced that he was threatened with being fired from the company after a video he shared on TikTok. In the shared TikTok video, he did not know that he was working at Apple, nor did he reveal confidential information.

An employee named Paris Campbell drew attention to the method used by fraudsters in a video he prepared in response to a person’s post on TikTok. The person who lost his iPhone during the festival shared the message ‘If you do not delete your Apple ID from iPhone, we will sell your personal information on the black market’. Campbell also explained that it is necessary to be wary of such messages.

The post where Campbell warns users against scammers:

“I can’t say exactly how I knew this information, but I can say that I’ve been a certified hardware engineer for the past six years at a particular company that loves to talk about fruit,” Campbell said. It started like this. Campbell later stated that this message was a common method used by scammers. Accordingly, a phone registered to your Apple ID cannot be used or sold by people who steal it, so fraudsters were scaring you to seize the phone.

The video received more than 5 million views in just 24 hours, and Campbell said his manager later called him. According to Campbell’s statement, the manager said the video would be removed or it would be directed to disciplinary action, which could lead to “fire and dismissal”. After these allegations, Campbell shared another video on TikTok and this time directly said that he was an Apple employee.

This time, Campbell’s video was a tribute to Apple, regardless of its content. Saying that he is a repair technician at an Apple store, Campbell stated that he did not find anything that could cause him to be fired because of the video he shared in the company’s policy. However, he reminded that the information he shared was not due to his working at Apple, that he had already obtained this information thanks to technical training, and therefore he was hired. It is not yet known what the outcome will be between the employee and Apple.
