It was found that women who used hair straightening chemicals more than four times in a 12-month period were 155 percent more likely to be diagnosed with uterine cancer than those who never used them.
In the same study, it was determined that other chemicals used for hair, such as dye, were not directly linked to uterine cancer. However, most of these chemicals greatly increase the risk of cancer types such as breast cancer and ovarian cancer, as we mentioned above.
Why do hair straightening chemicals and other hair products cause cancer?
