Samsung has already won the appreciation of many Android users with the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra introduced today. In addition, Samsung presented the new tablet family Galaxy Tab S8 to its users at the event.
In the Galaxy Unpacked event, besides the Galaxy S22 family and the new Galaxy Tab S8 family, new technologies that power these devices and the Galaxy ecosystem were introduced. We brought these technologies together for you.
Here are Samsung’s new technologies and features;
Samsung’s smart pen that knows what to draw on the screen in advance: S-Pen
It started to be used in the S22 Ultra. With this change, of course, the S-Pen has become much more advanced. According to Samsung’s statement, this new S-Pen will be much faster.
In this way, users will not feel any delay and will be able to work more efficiently. Thanks to artificial intelligence developed by Samsung, the S-Pen will predict what you draw on the screen and correct your drawings.
New technology that solves the heating problem in Samsung phones: ‘Gel TIM’
As phones got stronger, they needed bigger batteries. Larger batteries meant more energy and therefore more heat. Samsung announced that it has found a solution to this heating problem with its new Gel TIM technology and air channels.
announced that it has increased the heat transfer 3.5 times thanks to the technology called ‘Gel TIM’. In addition to this innovation, the South Korean technology giant stated that they have designed a new air distribution channel in addition to this innovation, and that this will prevent the heating problem of the phones.
Samsung’s new algorithm that adjusts the screen brightness according to every environment: Vision Booster
Unfortunately, no matter how much we turn on the brightness of our phone under the bright sun, unfortunately it is not enough. . Sometimes, even though we can see the screen, we can miss many details due to the high brightness. Samsung engineers, who also dealt with this issue, introduced the technology they call Vision Booster at the Unpacked event.
This technology increases the brightness of the phone up to 1750 nits under high light and automatically scans the image on the screen and makes the necessary adjustments to improve the image.
Samsung’s new technology to improve night video and photo quality: Nightography
While phone cameras can take great pictures nowadays, unfortunately they can’t do the same in low light . Being aware of this problem, Samsung aims to reverse this situation with a series of technologies called Nightography. The ‘Adaptive Pixel’ technology in the Galaxy S22 Ultra allows more light to be captured in photo shoots thanks to the 2.4 micrometer ‘pixel sensors’. Then, the artificial intelligence of the phone takes multiple photos and automatically selects the best ones and combines them.
The combined photos are then handed back into the skilful hands of AI, which enhances the sharpness of the photos. Of course, similar operations are performed in video mode and selfie mode. In addition to video mode, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and VDIS (Video Digital Image Stabilization) are used to make videos look much clearer.
