Apple plans to change the notch design on some iPhone 14 models that will be released this year. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will come with a pill-shaped double hole design to house the Face ID and selfie camera. The new design, which is expected to arrive in only 2 models of the iPhone 14 series in 2022, may be on all devices in the iPhone 15 series, which is expected to be released in 2023.

iPhone 15 series will eliminate notch design
DSCC CEO Ross Young has made a few updates about his expectations from the iPhone 14 series. In his update, he announced that the new perforated design, which includes Face ID and selfie camera, is expected to arrive in 2022, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and all new iPhones in 2023.
Ross Young announced that this new double hole design will be less costly. With the iPhone 14 Pro, the hole that will replace the notch may be 5,631 mm in diameter. The larger-than-expected design could be scaled down with the iPhone 15 series in 2023, according to Young. In addition, Young said in his statements that Apple is working on the under-screen Face ID technology, but this technology will not be able to reach 2023.
