A new move has come from the Chinese technology giant Xiaomi that will delight consumers using the brand’s smartphones. The company has started the distribution of a new update for its Android 13-based interface MIUI 14. The update coded “V14.0.10.0.TLECNXM”, which has only been detected in China for now, allows all applications on the phone to run at 120 Hz. Let’s take a closer look at this new feature.
The majority of smartphones are equipped with 120 Hz display panels. However, some developers continue to use 60 Hz refresh rate in their applications. This greatly affects the user experience. Here Xiaomi developers seem to have produced a solution to this annoying problem. The feature detected in the newest update of MIUI 14 will allow all desired applications to run at 120 Hz. Thus, Xiaomi users will be able to use all applications smoothly.
So how will this new feature in Xiaomi be used?
With the update coded V14.0.10.0.TLECNXM, the user who enters the “Refresh rate” settings page will see a new option called “Applications that use high refresh rate”. By tapping here, the user will see a list including system applications. The user will be able to activate the high refresh rate option for the applications he wants in the list where he sees all the applications installed on the device. Thus, all applications can be used at a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
It is not yet clear which phones the new feature prepared for MIUI 14 will reach. However, the update offered for Xiaomi 12S Pro users is expected to reach other models as well. If there is a new statement from Xiaomi regarding the issue, we will continue to inform you…
