Blockchain project Algorand has signed a partnership with FIFA. Algorand has become the official blockchain sponsor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to start on November 21.

Algorand has been FIFA’s first US-based sponsor in over a decade. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to the agreement, Algorand (ALGO) becomes “FIFA’s official Blockchain platform”. It will provide the official Blockchain powered wallet solution. Along with the 2022 Men’s World Cup event in Qatar, Algorand also sponsored the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
