Italayan automobile giant Alfa Romeo, operating under Stellantis, introduced its new supercar today after a long curious wait. The vehicle, called 33 Stradale, came with a remarkable design and technical details.
The new car brings together the past and the future, taking its name and some details from the 33 Stradale car that was released in the late 1960s. Without further ado, let’s take a look at this magnificent vehicle that will be produced in limited numbers.
Introducing 33 Stradale!
As soon as we look at the new 33 Stradale, we see that it is inspired by the iconic vehicle of the same name, which was released in 1967 and is considered one of the world’s first supercars. The strong stance of the front and rear, the windows that merge with the roof, the low front part directly bring this car to mind. The company enriches this similarity, which salutes the past, with modern touches.
The car, which goes from 0 to 100 in under three seconds, has both internal combustion and electric versions.
In addition to its magnificent design, the car also has remarkable features on the performance side. What makes things really interesting is that the car comes with two engine options. One of these engines is internal combustion and the other is electric.
The internal combustion version has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 620 horsepower. The electric motor, about which not much is known yet, is said to be able to produce 750 horsepower. The range of this version is announced as 450 kilometers at full charge. Let’s not forget the eight-speed dual-clutch ZF automatic transmission.
Alfa Romeo states that both the internal combustion and electric version can go from 0 to 100 kilometers in less than 3 seconds. Also, let’s add that it is said that the electric version can go under 2.5 seconds during the promotion. The maximum speed was announced as 333 kilometers in both.
When we look at the interior of the Stradale 33, we come across an interesting design. Unlike many modern cars, the company did not add any buttons to the steering wheel. It can be seen that the center console gives the feeling of being on an airplane and makes the driver feel like a pilot. Let’s also say that aluminum, carbon fiber and Alcantara materials are used in the cabin.
Only 33 Stradales will be produced and are already sold out
The supercar will come with two modes: Strada (road) and Pista (track). The Strada mode will provide as comfortable and smooth an experience as possible while keeping the exhaust quiet. Pista, on the other hand, will allow drivers to hear pure engine sound and make the pedals more sensitive. In this way, the vehicle will be more performance-oriented rather than comfort-oriented.
The 2024 33 Stradale, which is Alfa Romeo’s first supercar since the 8C Competizione between 2007 and 2010, will be produced only 33 units, as the name suggests. Its brother in the 60s was produced in 18 units. The price of the new supercar was not disclosed; but estimates say it’s more than $1 million. Let’s add that the entire car has already been sold.
