France watchdog questions Worldcoin’s legality
The French observer CNIL made striking comments by addressing Worldcoin, which has just stepped into the sector. Touching on critical elements such as legality and data retention, CNIL said:
“The legality of this collection seems questionable, as do the biometric data retention conditions”.
In addition, CNIL made harsh statements, referring to its retinal scanning app to ensure that a single person cannot claim crypto rewards twice. Innovating the Artificial Intelligence industry, Worldcoin saw regulatory pressure in just a few days. It is not yet known how this event, which started in France, will end.
