According to crypto firm Arkham, Alameda Research lost over $1 million in assets due to liquidations last night.
The account initially held 20 million USDC, $4 million DAI and 9,000 ETH worth $10.8 million as collateral.
However, according to Arkham’s report, the balance of the account was forcibly reduced and 731 ETH was liquidated. That equates to just over a million dollars.
The report included the following statements:
On January 12, after the funds were combined into a single wallet, the $72,000 Alameda fund was liquidated at AAVE. Twitter users noticed Alameda Research funds swapping wallets, and some attributed the move to Alameda founder SBF. However, the SBF denied these allegations.
