Akbank Sanat brought together the exhibition “Now in Digital Art: Alternative Realities + NFT” with art lovers. Curated by Zeynep Arınç, the exhibition features artworks focusing on art, technology and society.

NFT works are also included in the exhibition, as well as the works of artists working on visual arts, sound art, augmented reality and immersive environments using digital technologies, as well as different styles and artistic researches.

NFT Works Exhibited for the First Time at Akbank Sanat

Curator Arınç, speaking to AA correspondent, stated that NFT works were exhibited for the first time at Akbank Sanat.

“Actually, Akbank Sanat has been giving place to digital arts since 2015. Especially after the pandemic started, we organized digital art speech series. It was a series in which 9 artists participated and we got good reactions. Today’s exhibition emerged as a result of these conversations.”

15 NFT Artists’ Works Are Included in the Exhibition

Arınç said that they want to organize their exhibitions every year from now on, with the main title “Digital Art Now” ;

“We want to talk about the most talked about art events in the digital field every year. This year it was alternate realities and NFT. We tried to approach NFT objectively in various fields, from its artists to its collectors and followers. We included the works of 15 NFT artists in the exhibition.”

The Exhibition Can Be Visited Until May 7

The curation consultancy of NFT works is done by Assoc. Dr. The talk series titled “Conversations on NFT and Block-Chain” accompanying the exhibition undertaken by Selçuk Artut will be broadcast on Akbank Sanat’s website and YouTube channel. The exhibition “Now in Digital Art: Alternate Realities + NFT” will be open to visitors until 7 May.
