AirPods Pro 2 with Lightning port coming this year

Apple had completely changed the wireless headphone market with the launch of the AirPods brand. Having achieved incredible success with the standard AirPods models, Apple introduced AirPods Pro in October 2019. AirPods Pro 2 will not give up on the Lightning input

Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his sources close to Apple, stated that AirPods Pro 2 will enter mass production in the second half of the year. According to Kuo, AirPods Pro 2 will be manufactured in Vietnam, which indicates that Apple’s reliance on China is decreasing. Kuo’s sad news about AirPods Pro 2 is about the port of the charging case. It seems that Apple will continue to use the Lightning input on the AirPods Pro 2 model.

Recently, it was reported that Apple is testing USB-C input on many devices, including iPhone and AirPods. But it looks like Apple will save USB-C for later. Apple’s first iPhone model with USB-C input is expected to be the iPhone 15, which will be introduced at the end of 2023. Presumably, after the iPhone 15 entry-level iPad, AirPods models, accessories such as Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard will also switch to USB-C. AirPods Pro 2, which is expected to be introduced this year, will come with higher sound quality, a new design and health / fitness tracking sensors.
