As you know, Apple released the AirPods Pro 2 a few months ago. It looks like the company is having some issues with the production of the wireless headset. Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple has instructed Goertek, the Chinese supplier that produces the second-generation AirPods Pro, to suspend production.Kuo also stated that another Chinese supplier, Luxshare, has expanded the production of AirPods Pro 2 to fill the gap and has now become the sole supplier of the wireless earbuds. Unfortunately, it is not yet known why production was suspended at Goertek.
No demand issues
The experienced analyst thinks this is due to production problems rather than demand. It is unclear when Goertek will resume production of AirPods Pro 2. It is also unknown whether the issues affect the already sold second-generation AirPods Pros. Time will tell if the latest development will cause an out-of-stock issue especially this holiday season.
