With Covid-19, most companies switched to remote working system, but later some companies gradually recalled their employees to the office. Airbnb, in a new statement made recently, stated that most of its employees can continue to work remotely full-time.
Airbnb offers a flexible working environment
Airbnb said that while it allows remote working, it will periodically hold team meetings, off-site and social events to ensure its employees meet face-to-face throughout the year.
Brian Chesky, CEO of the company, wrote in an email to his employees: “Now, I understand the anxiety of not seeing people in an office – how do you know if your employees are doing their job when you can’t see them? It’s simple for me: I trust you and the flexibility is only possible with the people on your team. “When you trust, it works. You’ve shown how much you can achieve remotely. In the last two years, we’ve navigated the pandemic while working remotely, rebuilding the company from the ground up, going public, upgrading our entire service, and reporting record earnings. It’s clear that flexibility works for Airbnb.” made statements.

While Airbnb recognizes the freedom to work from home or the office, it also says that employees can choose to work from anywhere in the country. The company stated that there will be no changes in the salary of employees who change cities.
