It seems that there will be nothing that artificial intelligence cannot do... Now, he has turned his thoughts into writing with "brain activity solver" methods...

Translating a person’s thoughts into words may sound like an idea straight out of a science fiction movie, but a new artificial intelligence (AI) model developed at the University of Texas at Austin does just that.

The researchers say the model he developed can be trained to decipher complex language from someone’s thoughts using noninvasive screening methods. “For a noninvasive method, this is a real leap forward compared to the translation of typically single words or short sentences,” said Alex Huth, assistant professor of neuroscience and computer science.

We’ve heard of similar systems being developed before, but what sets the new model apart is that participants don’t have to undergo surgery to get implants and are not limited to a list of words they can use. So it’s a more usable and broader method. So how does this method work?

Method; It uses technology seen in ChatGPT and Google Bard chatbots and is called a semantic decoder. With the participant’s permission, the person’s brain is scanned through functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), during which anything they’re listening or thinking can be decoded and linked to a text stream.

The decoder is currently unable to synthesize a person’s thoughts word for word, but is usually able to capture the essence of what they are thinking and reveal it. In the tests, the thoughts of a person watching the video below were also put into the text. The result is as below.

A really interesting result. Isn’t it exciting and equally worrying to think about where artificial intelligence might come 10 years from now? What are you thinking? Share your ready thoughts with us below while you can write them -for now-.
