Age of Empires 4 (AoE 4), released by Relic, amazes with the number of instant players. The production is also currently at the top of the Steam bestseller list. At this point, it is ahead of games such as Phasmophobia and New World.
Age of Empires 4 reached the highest number of 73,928 players in the number of instant players according to SteamDB data. This brings the production to a higher player count than Garry’s Mod, Vermintide 2, and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. The available data does not count Game Pass users on the PC platform, either.
Age of Empires 4 is ahead of the second game
The aforementioned instant player count for AoE 4 is well ahead of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, which was released nine months ago. This production managed to reach 38,725 users instantly at that time. Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition reached 20.146 players 13 months ago.
Game Pass falls outside of available data
The production’s Steam data does not reflect all player counts. Because things change when Game Pass service is included in the business. When we take that into account, we can predict that the number of players is higher than that. The fact that the game drops to Game Pass as it is released is one of the situations that affect this.
