Tesla launches low-range Model S and Model X
The US electric car manufacturer has long offered the Model X and Model S, which are at the top of its product range, with Long Range and Plaid versions. The company has now offered the more affordable Standard Range version of these models.
The entry-level models of these two models on Tesla’s website showed themselves again after 2021. We see that these versions, which will offer a shorter range than other models, are less than 10 thousand dollars from the price tags.
Tesla Model S Standard Range has taken its place on the official website of the brand with a price tag of $ 78 thousand 490. This model offers a range of approximately 515 kilometers on a full charge with 19-inch Tempest wheels. The optional 21-inch Arachnid wheels with a price of 4 thousand 500 dollars reduce this value to 480 kilometers. The Long Range version of the Model S has a range of 650 kilometers.
The entry-level Model X, on the other hand, started to be offered with a price tag of 88 thousand 490 thousand dollars. While the model with 20-inch Cyberstream wheels offers a range of approximately 430 kilometers, this value decreases to 410 kilometers when optional 22-inch Turbine wheels with a value of 5 thousand 500 dollars are preferred. Let us remind you that the Model X, which has a price of 98 thousand 490 dollars, offers a range of 530 kilometers.
Tesla has not yet made a statement about whether there is a new battery pack that powers the Standard Range models. However, it is estimated that this range reduction in the models is mostly provided by the software.
